Metabase (SMTP)

Send Metabase dashboard subscriptions and alerts through MailBlastr over SMTP.

Metabase emails dashboard subscriptions, alerts, and account notifications over SMTP. Configure it with the MailBlastr relay and authenticate with your API key so those emails are delivered and tracked in your dashboard.

Prerequisites

1. Get your SMTP credentials

You'll configure Metabase with the following MailBlastr credentials:

465 (implicit TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS).

mailblastr

Passwordstringoptional

Your API key, e.g. mb_xxxxxxxxx.

2. Configure SMTP in Metabase

After logging into Metabase, enable the SMTP integration:

    Open email settings

    From the Admin Panel, go to Settings > Email in the left menu.

    Enter credentials

    Enter the MailBlastr host, port, security (SSL for 465, STARTTLS for 587), username (mailblastr), and password (your API key) from the section above. Set the From Address to an address on your verified domain.

    Save

    Click Save. All Metabase emails are now sent through MailBlastr.

The From Address must be on a domain you have verified in MailBlastr, otherwise sends will be rejected.
